500 up

Yesterday I completed the last of the remaining 500 sections - not the ending - that was written quite some time ago, in possibly the worlds coldest coffee shop! I'm now happy that it's a complete cohesive adventure in a very playable form. An opportunity lays to playtest. I'm looking for 3 or 4 independent people to take an advance manuscript, and during the course of the next week return perhaps a 3 page summary of their findings. Of course I've had people run through it thus far, but I feel it needs a more thorough evaluation. To incentivise this I am happy to increase any Kickstarter backers level of reward by a couple of levels to the value of @£25 as a nominal payment for your time. If you're interested, please let me know!
I'm thrilled that the project total has been reached, and indeed is increasing with each new backer. As a gesture of goodwill I will be shipping all new and existing backers a free one-off illustrated Dangerous Worlds bookmark. Whether this becomes a footnote in gamebook history, or a sought after relic only time, and the success of the series, will tell! :)

Map Attack

The heaving metropolis of Deva. The first adventure is set in the city and it's environs.

Everyone loves a good map.

So..what's this?

In a World of many Dangers - there is only one blog...

A new and exciting Gamebook series in which you are the hero. Plot dangerous paths through dark fantasy lands, and apocalyptic futures!

The seeds were sown in the 80's after I first encountered 'City of Thieves', and was immediately and resoundingly gripped. I moved on, like many, to the varied worlds of RPGs, Wargaming and miniature collecting. Some malfunctioning nodes in my brain lead me to believe these impressive hobbies were in some way, uncool, and for whatever reason spent most of the next 15 years in the Fantasy wilderness. Thanks to the internet, and occasionally furtive glances at White Dwarf in London Victoria WH Smiths, I never completely turned my back, and indeed I resolved to fully engage when time permitted. A new family arrival. Time away from work, and many late nights and very very early mornings cast my mind adrift. And during these slack jawed, saliva chinned wanderings I formulated an idea...
