The seeds were sown in the 80's after I first encountered 'City of Thieves', and was immediately and resoundingly gripped. I moved on, like many, to the varied worlds of RPGs, Wargaming and miniature collecting. Some malfunctioning nodes in my brain lead me to believe these impressive hobbies were in some way, uncool, and for whatever reason spent most of the next 15 years in the Fantasy wilderness. Thanks to the internet, and occasionally furtive glances at White Dwarf in London Victoria WH Smiths, I never completely turned my back, and indeed I resolved to fully engage when time permitted. A new family arrival. Time away from work, and many late nights and very very early mornings cast my mind adrift. And during these slack jawed, saliva chinned wanderings I formulated an idea...
